The emergency. And a vet who accepts.

Your equine emergency reaches vets by push notification. Once accepted, you see who is coming and when.

It’s three in the morning. Your horse has colic. Who do you call?

You report. We alert.

Currently in closed testing.

How it works

One emergency. Three clear steps.

This is how Equimergency guides you from reporting the emergency through to arrival.

  1. Your report

    Report the emergency

A few guided questions capture what happened. You can add photos and share your location.

A small hold is placed, not charged. The hold makes the report a commitment.

  2. Dispatch

    A veterinarian accepts

Verified vets in range are notified by push.

As soon as one accepts, you see who is coming to you.

  3. Support

    You are not alone

Until arrival, you receive first-aid guidance and see the estimated arrival time.

You stay connected through chat and a call with a masked phone number.

The app

In an emergency, clarity matters.

One clear next step for you
and a complete case for the veterinarian.

For the veterinary team

The hold

Make a commitment. Pay nothing upfront.

Veterinary emergency time is scarce. The hold makes your request a commitment, especially at three in the morning, when veterinarians get up for it.

While the case is open

Hold

placed

The amount is reserved on your card, not charged.

Then one of two things happens

Captured
Only if a veterinarian completes the case.
Released
If you cancel the emergency or no veterinarian accepts the request.

When a released hold becomes available again depends on your bank; the practice invoices you separately for treatment.

Until help arrives

From the first step to treatment documentation.

You stay with your horse. The screen only organises what matters in that moment.

  1. Guided first aid

The steps work even on a weak connection without holding up the case.

  2. Chat and protected call

Once accepted, you can reach the veterinarian by chat or call. Your number remains masked.

  3. Journey with ETA

Live status and ETA show when the vet is expected to arrive.

  4. Treatment documentation

After the visit, the case becomes the record of the treatment provided.

Concept view · planned functionality

Trust and safety

Four principles. Clearly defined.

They apply to activation, data, calls and active emergencies.

Equimergency is currently in closed testing ahead of release.

  1. Licence verification before activation

Veterinarians have their licence to practise verified before activation.

  2. Data processing in the EU

Data is processed and stored in the European Union in accordance with the GDPR.

  3. Private phone numbers stay private

Calls are connected through a telephony proxy; private phone numbers are not disclosed to the other party.

  4. The active emergency takes priority

Technical or payment-related failures must not block an active emergency.

No horse emergency waits until Monday.

Survey of horse owners by Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences (Karthäuser 2024, 14,021 questionnaires): 41.4 per cent of horse owners say they wait until Monday morning when a horse shows acute severe lameness.

Frequently asked questions

What is settled. What is still open.

We answer what is reliable today, and say plainly what does not yet have a date.

When will Equimergency launch?

Equimergency is in closed testing. We will announce a public launch date only when veterinary coverage in a region proves reliable in operation. Until then, you can join the waitlist.

What does emergency dispatch cost?

We work with a small hold on your card that makes your report a commitment. It is captured only when a veterinarian completes the case; otherwise, we release it. We will publish the exact conditions at launch. The practice invoices you separately for the treatment.

Who can accept an emergency?

We verify every veterinarian’s licence to practise before activation. Only then can they accept a case through Equimergency.

What happens after I report an emergency?

Equimergency notifies veterinarians by push notification. Once a case is accepted, chat, calls with masked phone numbers and an estimated arrival time are available. Guided first-aid support assists you without blocking the case.

Where is my data processed?

The data required for Equimergency is processed and stored in the EU. Processing is governed by the GDPR.

Which devices and species is the app planned for?

The first public version is planned for iOS and horses. Android and support for further species are also planned. Neither has a set date yet.
